November 2006. Actively Employed - Web Application Developer

Responsible for active development of the corporate web site and private intranet and sales reporting systems, leveraging key techonlogies in the integration of Point Of Sale data, H.R. systems, and Microsoft Exchange email services over a wide-area multiple-location Virtual Private Network.

• Developed detailed reports to effectively communicate essential sales, growth, budget, and other key metrics for the Operations Team; including partner Goodwill organizations.
• Effected a complete overhaul of the existing Sales Reporting Application to create a more reliable method to capture sales, donation, and labor data; reducing the possibility of user error.
• Designed and implemented an employee scheduling system that gave Team Leaders a powerful tool to efficiently create, distribute, and manage schedules for store personnel; and is integrated with existing Point-Of-Sale systems to facilitate tracking and reporting of time and attendance.
• Worked together with the Purchasing Director in a project aimed at generating additional revenue with a for-fee service; a complete re-development of the corporate Purchase Order System to extend to key organizational partners our Supply Ordering and Purchase Order facilities, streamlining their corporate purchasing process by utilizing a standardized system managed by our Purchasing Department.

Brought extensive PHP and Standards-Compliance knowledge into the business to dramatically improve product quality and reduce overall development time.

• Re-developed the Corporate web site with a focus on accessibility, web standards, and ease of maintenance.
• Extensive customization of OSCommerce powered e-commerce sites which greatly improved accessibility, aesthetics, and back-end functionality; most notably:
  • Sarbez Perfume - a fine fragrance for Women
  • Party Standups - Custom standees and posters
  • Sign Monster - Custom signs and related products
• Worked with the Lead Designer in the development of Nicolosi Advisors. This project began prior to my beginning at Mobiant, however, with my guidance, the site utilizes a high degree of accessibility, search engine optimization, and valid HTML in a table-based web site
